A favorite old fashioned plant with charm. Our special selection bears huge quantities of mysterious, deep red scented flowers all along the stems in May. The blossoms consist of many narrow strap-like petals in frilly patterns. The roots, stems and leaves are also wonderfully fragrant. Bold, oblong, heavy textured foliage turns luminous clear gold in fall. This has a dense multistemmed habit with arching branches to six or eight feet, but can be kept pruned. It grows fast, tolerates full sun to half shade, needs no special care and tolerates clay. HARD TO FIND TOO!
