Striking clusters of pearl white berries with a showy black eye set this apart in fall. During the summer, the finely cut foliage reaches to 2 feet; frilly white flowers appear in May. Baneberry is great in in the woodland or in the perennial garden. Long ago it was used in folk medicine as a rheumatism tonic. It's easy to please in sun to half shade.
