Two Gigantic Rhododendrons Find New Home!     Added: 6/4/2007 6:48:29 AM
Sun June 3, 2007 Two Gigantic rhododendrons were installed by Eastern Plant in Massachusetts: Judy Spillane and Wyandanch. Judy is almost 10 feet tall and Wyandanch almost 10 feet wide! I have no doubt these are the biggest specimens of these varieties ever sold, transported and planted. Many thanks to Neil Culpepper and Dan Nolon for helping with the dig, move and planting. Thanks to our client for appreciating their beauty and hospitality at the jobsite.

PLEASE USE printed prices in the 2007 brochure. The 2007 price list was just mailed Jan 15-19th to 2005 and 2006 customers. 2004 customers will get theirs just a few days later. Prices here on web will be updated by the end of the month. Thank you. Omission in the 2007 brochure: Iris cristata, dwarf iris, is pictured, but not described in most copies. We do have it, refer to old catalog or website for description

There will be more plants added to this list. After an abscense, we have Longstalk Holly, Zenobia and Red Flowered Enkianthus this fall. ALL wildflowers and ferns ARE available for fall...see the offer on the home page.

We want to say hi to any new customers and all our old friends. Remember to use prices in your printed catalog, as the website may not be up to date. ABOUT 2002! In March of of last year my dad died after a long illness. Due to family considerations and time constraints we were not able to answer many phone calls last spring...although we shipped 95% of orders on time, a few slipped thru the cracks...we apologize if that was you.

You may have seen commercials or ads for sprays that are supposed to help plants resist winter cold and wind. So far, much of the country hasn't had a winter...but that could change. These anti dessicant sprays have another use I'd like to talk about.

With the mild fall.. I still see piles of leaves raked into the streets in our area...what a shame...why not get out your rakes & barrells & rescue them for your garden... and finally, after WEEKS of record breaking temperatures, a welcome cool down as of December 16.

Much of the eastern part of the country had day after day of warmth all thru November, with little frost...and many areas were/are very dry as well. The trend has continued into Dec. It's been great for people but could this cause plant problems later? Find out...and how to minimize them.
